Thomas Keller new chairman, Dr. Michael Shohat replaces Stefan Legner

At the ordinary General Assembly held today in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, the members of DENIC eG, the managing organization and central registry of all domains under the top level domain .de, decided on the composition of the Cooperative's bodies through 2016.

In the elections of the honorary members of the Executive and the Supervisory Board of the Cooperative, which are executed every three years as stipulated in DENIC's Statutes, only one member of the management was replaced: Dr. Michael Shohat (Strato AG) took over the position of Stefan Legner (InterNetX GmbH), who was no longer available as a candidate for the position of a member of the Supervisory Board. The remaining four members of the Supervisory Board were re-elected: Thomas Keller (1&1 Internet AG), who was appointed new chairman, as well as Elmar Knipp (Knipp Medien und Kommunikation GmbH), Dr. Johannes Loxen (SerNet Service Network GmbH) and Alexander Schwertner (EPAG Domainservices GmbH) will be members of the Supervisory Board for another period in office.

Also re-elected and confirmed in office were the two honorary members of the Executive Board, Helga Krüger (http.net Internet GmbH) and Carsten Schiefner (I/P/B/ Internet Provider in Berlin GmbH).

The further course of the General Assembly did not bring any surprise either: The financial statement for 2012 was unanimously approved, and discharge granted to the Executive and the Supervisory Boards without any opposing votes.
