Many domain holders have in the last couple of days received a letter with an invoice for a so-called "domain check". DENIC eG as registry for .de domains again wants to stress that this is not an invoice for the .de domain. Domain holders, who do not pay, will neither jeopardize their registered domain, nor will anything change with respect to its connectivity. Invoices that pertain to the functionality of a domain can only come from DENIC or the Internet Service Provider that the domain holder has commissioned himself.
