DENIC eG can again state without restrictions that it performs the registration of .de domains as a non-profit organisation without intent to realize a profit. The Landgericht Frankfurt yesterday revoked a preliminary injunction, which on behalf of an Internet provider prohibited DENIC from making such statements. "DENIC was, is and remains a neutral service organisation working for the entire German Internet community in a cost-covering way", comments DENIC board member Sabine Dolderer. "Any contrary statement completely misses reality and our self-conception."

The Supreme Court also stressed in its recently published substantiation of the case ambiente.de, that DENIC "does not pursue any purpose on its own account and operates without intent to realize a profit".
