Since March 2011, DENIC is a member of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams, the German CERT Association. Membership in the CERT forum is an essential measure to safeguard access to DNS competency and to thus further enhance national DNS security in Germany by linking networks.

The German Internet becomes more secure: DNSSEC (Domain Name Security Extensions) shall improve security for .de domains too in the future. This is the result of the broad-based test phase that ended with today's concluding meeting. DENIC is planning to launch DNSSEC on 31 May 2011.

The fifths and last DNSSEC testbed meeting will be held on 8 February 2011 at the head office of DENIC eG, Kaiserstraße 75-77, Frankfurt am Main.
