DENIC is speaking at the 14th German IT Security Congress

Under the motto "Know the risks, accept challenges, design solutions" the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is organizing the 14th German IT Security Congress in Bonn from 19 to 21 May. Germany's Minister of the Interior Thomas de Maizière will open the conference as keynote speaker.

At this conference, DENIC's Chief Information Security Officer Boban Krsic will present the information security management applied by the registry of the German TLD .de as a preventive measure against cyber attacks. The presentation will focus in particular on the specific steps required to build a risk combating system for a central Internet infrastructure. Additionally, the DENIC model will be discussed as a generic reference model for other organizations.

The German IT Security Conference, organized every two years by the BSI, is a well-established event in the national and international IT security calendar. The goal of the conference is to shine a light on current trends and technologies of IT security from various perspectives and to present and develop approaches to solutions. The speakers at the conference come from companies and research institutes as well as from authorities and other institutions.

Next to information security management and the related standards and auditing methods, this year's agenda comprises secure mobile communication, security on platforms and in networks, secure identities and secure cloud computing as well as data privacy and statutory regulations in the IT context.
